Quality trade buyers and new business opportunities in technical textiles and nonwovens market ensures high exhibitor satisfaction at Cinte Techtextil China.\u00a0Reflecting the general optimism surrounding the technical textiles and\u00a0nonwovens market in Asia, Cinte Techtextil China ended with steady increases in the size of the fair and its internationalism: 480 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions took part. This increase was matched in the buyer figure with 13,085 visits recorded (2014: 12,496) and these trade buyers coming from 67 countries and regions (2014: 61). The top 10 overseas countries and regions were Korea, Taiwan, Japan, USA, India, Russia, Italy, Germany, Hong Kong and Thailand.\u00a0Both the exhibitor and visit figures were new records for Cinte Techtextil\u00a0China, while at 35,000 gross sqm, the fair was the same size as the\u00a0previous edition.<\/p>\n

Quality trade platform<\/h4>\n

\u00abOur focus in the lead up to the event – said <\/em>Ms Wendy Wen<\/strong>, Senior\u00a0General Manager, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd – was on ensuring a\u00a0quality trade platform for both exhibitors and buyers, and the feedback\u00a0from both groups confirms this was the case.<\/em>\u00bb

Attracting high-quality buyers both from China and further afield, including many new potential business partners for exhibitors, has solidified Cinte Techtextil China as the leading trade event for the technical textiles and nonwovens industry. Many exhibitors reported strong buyer flow, the chance to meet new, quality contacts, as well as orders being placed during the three-day event.
\n\u00abI think the buyers in this fair are very professional compared to other shows in China<\/em>\u00bb was the comment of Johns Manville, participating in the fair for the first time. Mr Raymond Zhang<\/strong>, Technical Support Engineer from the American company\u2019s Shanghai office explained. \u00abThe fair has helped us meet both existing and new buyers and 60% of enquiries are new contacts.<\/em>\u00bb\u00a0J.H. Ziegler<\/strong> from Germany, who already have a high-end customer base in China expressed a similar view: \u00abAfter participating here for the first time, it transpires that the results have been better than other fairs we attend in China. Many of our target customers came to our booth to seek\u00a0cooperation, and they were all high-end buyers<\/em>\u00bb. Also participating from Germany and targeting domestic buyers was Temafa Maschinenfabrik, part of the Dilo Group. Mr Uwe Kamps<\/strong>, Sales\u00a0District Manager commented: \u00abThe fair has been good for us as we\u2019ve been able to meet many existing customers, as well as some potential new clients. This fair is definitely effective for targeting the Chinese market, and is one of the most important fairs in China.<\/em>\u00bb Asian exhibitors also found the fair effective for generating new business, particularly those in the Korea Pavilion organised by the Korea Textile Trade Association (KTTA). \u00abOur exhibitors have had many orders\u00a0in the first two days including from Europe, the US and Australia. Around 70% of them received orders on the spot\u00bb Mr Tako Lee from KTTA explained.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"ReportStrong demand<\/h4>\n

<\/a>About the demand for overseas brand the Chinese market needs better quality and more environmentally friendly products in the future. As the industry in China upgrades, companies with high-quality products will do well here, which is why exhibitors at this fair are targeting the mid to\u00a0high-end markets. Cees van de Sande<\/strong>, Technical Manager Performance Coating Division\u00a0of Dutch company Stahl : \u00abThe technical textiles industry is growing this year and we still expect much more growth in the next few years. When I talk to my customers here, most of them are optimistic about the future, and are still investing and expecting more business in China.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n

Autefa Solution\u2019s Dr Joachim Binnig<\/strong>, Vice President, Head of Development & Technology : \u00abBusiness is still good in China for us despite the slower economy. There is a definite shift to more high quality machinery in China that isn\u2019t affected by the economic situation.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n

Fellow Ping Chen<\/strong>, General Manager of German company Ibena Technical Textiles in Shanghai : \u00abIn the Chinese market, customers want good quality products, so overseas companies have a lot of potential. This fair is also a good way to keep updated with market developments in China too.<\/em>\u00bb
\nSwiss firm Swisstulle returned to the fair to take advantage of strong demand: \u00abAs we supply the automotive industry, we\u2019re not being affected by the slower economy in China; in fact we are growing here and we\u2019re optimistic about the future of the Chinese market.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n

A number of exhibitors also commented that eco-friendly products were gaining in popularity in China, including KTTA and J.H. Ziegler<\/strong>. Another was Jowat (Beijing) Adhesives: \u00abAs the demand for green products is increasing in China, we feel optimistic about our business prospects, and\u00a0chose this fair as a stepping stone to enter the Chinese market.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n

Application areas<\/h4>\n

By featuring products that cover 12 different application areas, the fair creates more opportunities for participants than events with a more narrow focus, something that was appreciated by both exhibitors and buyers.\u00a0\u00abAs our company has a range of products that can be used in various industry sectors, it\u2019s good for us that the fair covers the different areas as we can meet more potential customers<\/em>\u00bb said Mr Shin<\/strong> from Modern Intech. Many of our existing customers are also exhibitors here\u00a0at the fair and nonwovens buyers from another hall have stopped co-exhibitors’ booths. Mr Simon Sweetland<\/strong>, Sales Director (Asia) of KL Technologies from the UK also found the product variety beneficial : \u00abI prefer that the fair covers more applications for functional textiles as it means greater opportunities to promote to more buyers,<\/em>\u00bb he said. One of these buyers was Mr Thapelo Mabasa from Lazwi Engineering<\/strong>, South Africa : \u00abSince the show\u00a0covers 12 application areas, I can see some materials or technologies\u00a0that I didn\u2019t know about. Whatever my customers need, I\u2019m likely to find it\u00a0here.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n

Innovation<\/h4>\n

Buyers praised the fair not only for its wide product coverage, but also\u00a0for the quality of exhibitors and the opportunity to discover new trends\u00a0and technologies.<\/p>\n

Mr Issa Abdullah<\/strong>, Wipes World \u2013 Wet Wipes Factory of Israel commented : \u00abThis is a good fair with quality exhibitors, and we are\u00a0able to see new products and technologies here. It\u2019s also beneficial the fair covers a wide range of applications as we can see new products and get inspiration for our business.<\/em>\u00bb
\nFirst-time visitor Mr Kiril Kirilov from Naishfelts of Bulgaria was satisfied with the product range: \u00abI can find many companies with the products I need here, and I will follow up with them after the fair. What\u2019s more, I can discover new trends here from the innovative products on offer.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n

Mr Andrey A. Bakhurin<\/strong> from TOPMASH, a Russian industry association\u00a0was impressed with the quality of domestic exhibitors at the fair : \u00abWe\u00a0expected to see high-quality Chinese machinery here and that expectation has been met. The Chinese suppliers have improved a lot in recent years, so we plan to sign agreements with some of them here.<\/em>\u00bb
\nMr Rudi van der Hooft<\/strong> from ZYEX Ltd in the UK was also impressed with the Chinese exhibitors : \u00abNowadays in this industry, China is starting to produce high-value products like those from Europe and the US. This fair helps us to find these type of exhibitors and to get to know the Chinese market better. Coming to this fair has paved the way for my company\u2019s business in China.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n
